Android M has been officially presented at Google I/O, but the question remains - when will your smartphone get the update to Android M? That's what we want to answer now. Read when devices from Samsung, Sony, Google and more will get the latest Android update.
Note: Android M has only just been announced.
Google Nexus Android M update
Google's Nexus devices are typically among the first devices to receive Android updates. According to the latest information, the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 will receive an update to Android M. The Nexus 6 and Nexus 5 will as well.
In addition, Google today distributed a pre-release version of Android M: M Android Developer Preview.
HTC Android M update
HTC is also extremely fast and has already announced that the HTC One models M9 and M9 + will get the Android M update. When other devices such as the HTC One M8, the Android update to get on Android M, is so far unknown.
Samsung Android M update
Samsung has not yet commented on its update schedules, but we assume that both the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, plus the Galaxy Note 4, will get the Android update to version M when it's available.
Sony Android M update
Sony is so far silent about its update schedule, but the Sony Xperia Z3, Z3 + and Z4, plus its tablet should receive almost certainly the Android update to Android M.
LG Android M update
Although there are no official figures of LG, but LG G4 and the LG G3 will receive almost certainly Android M.
Motorola Android M update
Motorola's next Google ever get very quickly to the distribution of updates and so should the Moto X (2014) as one of the first Motorola smartphone, the Android update to Android M. But more models like the Moto G (2014) and also the new Moto E should certainly come to benefit from Android M.
