Fix Tweaks Disappearing Issue After Cydia 1.1.19 / TaiG 2.3 Update

So you updated to recently released Cydia 1.1.19 and TaiG 2.3 and immediately noticed that all of the tweaks/packages in Cydia disappeared. Apparently this happens because of a third party package called Cydia Enable which might be already installed on your device prior to Cydia 1.1.19 and TaiG 2.3 untether updates.
For those who don’t know, Cydia Enable is a third-party package, which you might have installed or it might have been installed automatically as a dependency of another package that you installed, which can force tweaks to run inside Cydia before Cydia 1.1.19 officially added the support for it. So if this package is installed on your device prior to Cydia 1.1.19 update, there’s a conflict which results in tweaks/packages disappearing, random crashes in Cydia etc.

Here’s what you need to do to fix this issue without having to Restore to iOS 8.4 and jailbreak again.
Note(s):
  • This guide assumes you have iFile installed. If you don’t, you can use Cydia’s AutoInstall folder method to install .deb files.
  • Make sure Cydia is closed from multitasking switcher before installing any .deb file.
Step 1: Downgrade to TaiG 2.2.1 (Skip to next step if you don’t have TaiG 2.3 installed)
Open this TaiG 2.2.0 .deb file in Safari browser on your iOS device. Next, get this .deb file in iFile by tapping on “Open in iFile” in Safari.
Cydia 1.1.18
Now in iFile, simply tap on the said .deb file -> Installer to install the older version of TaiG.

Reboot when done.
Step 2: Downgrade to Cydia 1.1.18
Follow the same steps as above for downgrading to Cydia 1.1.18 as well. This is the .deb file for Cydia 1.1.18. Make sure the current version of Cydia is closed from multitasking switcher before installing Cydia 1.1.18, and don’t forget to reboot your device once Cydia 1.1.18 is installed via iFile.
Step 3: Remove Cydia Enable
Once both Cydia and TaiG are back to older versions, launch Cydia, search for “Cydia Enable” package and uninstall it by tapping Modify->Remove. Reboot your device.
Step 4: Update to Cydia 1.1.19 and TaiG 2.3
Once Cydia Enable has been successfully removed, launch Cydia, tap on Changes tab and then on Refresh. Wait for it to load everything up. Once loaded, it will prompt you with a message “Essential Upgrade”. Tap on “Complete Upgrade” . This will install Cydia 1.1.19, TaiG 2.3 and other important system packages for you automatically.

If this “Essential Upgrade” message doesn’t appear for you, after hitting Refresh in Changestab, simply search manually for Cydia Installer and TaiG 8.1.3-8.x Untether and Modify->Upgradeone by one to their latest respective versions available on Cydia’s Telesphoreo repository.

Update x1: Looks like the developer of Cydia Enable has updated the package to fix this conflict. We still recommend uninstalling it as it might conflict with future Cydia updates. It is also no longer needed after Cydia 1.1.19 update.
