Android 5.1.1: RAW support and lower ISO values

As expected, the international Android 5.1.1 update delivers support for RAW images and lower ISO values. Samsung didn't make the changes public though, perhaps because they are not available via the stock camera or gallery app. If you want to shoot in RAW format and view images later, you'll need third-party solutions like Camera FV-5 and Adobe Lightroom.

US Galaxy S6 Edge update

Sprint Galaxy S6 Edge Android update

Sprint is now rolling out Android 5.1.1 to the Samsung Galaxy S6, bringing it up to build G925PVPU2B0F7. The update arrives at around 563 MB and brings with it some typical bug fixes and improvements.

T-Mobile Galaxy S6 Edge Android update

Beginning June 15, T-Mobile customers started to receive Android 5.1.1. The key feature being added with the Android 5.1.1 update is Guest Mode, which lets you set up your phone so other people can use it without stumbling upon things you don't want them to. There is currently no word on the Verizon Galaxy S6 Edge Android 5.1.1 update and it remains on Android 5.0.2.

UK Galaxy S6 Edge update

There is no news of the S6 Edge Android 5.1.1 rollout in the UK yet. We will let you know when we have more information. 

How to install Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Currently only T-Mobile customers can get the update. Go to your Settings menu, then to About phone, and finally to Software update. Your device will notify you if you are due for the update.
