Lahore: Chief Justice Lahore High Court Justice Manzoor Ahmed, taking notice of the Daska incident, directed the government to deploy army in the area.
After holding talks with representatives of various bar councils, the chief justice asked Session judge to reach the site and contact lawyers’ bodies to settle down the situation.
The chief justice also contacted representatives of Bar Councils in Daska and Gujranwala, asking them to remain calm and peace. He also gave them assurance that strict action would be taken against those involved in the incident.
Lawyers surrounded the vehicle of Chief Justice when he left for home, demanding that he take suo notice incident of Daska killing. The chief justice assured that justice would be served.
