The Galaxy Note 4 is a superb smartphone, but enjoying its big-screened delight can sometimes mean spending big money. There are big differences between networks’ prices. Here are the best phone plans for the Galaxy Note 4.

T-Mobile
If you’re buying the phone outright, T-Mobile currently charges $699.84 for the Note 4, although you’ll also need a $15 SIM starter kit. If you’d rather not pay anything, $79.16 per month over two years gives you 1 GB of LTE data, although once again you’ll need to fork out for that SIM kit.
Breakdown: For 1 GB LTE data per month you’ll pay $15 up front and $79.16 per month.
Verizon sticks with the RRP with a price of $699.99 for the Note 4. However, if you’re willing to commit to a two year contract the price drops to $299.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. If you go for the 1 GB of shareable data with unlimited talk and texting that’s $70 per month for two years.
Breakdown: For 1 GB per month over two years you’ll pay $299.99 for the phone after rebate, plus $70 per month.
AT&T is a little on the pricey side if you’re buying the Note 4 outright: it charges a hefty $845.99 for the phone without a contract. That price drops to $299.99 on a two year contract, or you can get the phone for free if you subscribe to an AT&T Next plan. It’s not really free - you pay for the phone in monthly instalments - but as the plan is discounted the total bill works out at $78.20 per month over two years. Over two years that works out at just £20 more if you’d rather not pay anything up-front for the Note.
Breakdown: For 1 GB per month over two years you can pay nothing for the phone and $78.20 per month, which is $1876.20, or you can pay $299 for the phone and $65 monthly, which is $1859.99.
Like AT&T, Sprint has several ways to buy the Note: full retail at $720, on a two-year contract for $299.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate, or via its two-year leasing and two-year Easy Pay options that give you the phone with no money down. If you go for the lease option, you’ll pay $25 per month over two years over and above your plan costs, and if you go for Easy Pay you’ll pay $30 per month. The difference between the two is that when you lease, you don’t own the phone.
Breakdown: For 1 GB per month over two years you’ll pay $299.99 and $60 per month.
