iPhone 6C Release Date Pegged For Q2 2016

iPhone5s, 5c

At the beginning of this year, rumors indicated that Apple would be launching three iPhones such as the iPhone 6C, iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus.  Fresh rumors reveal that the iPhone 6C release for this year has been axed, but it will be rolling out during the second quarter of 2016.
The purported iPhone 6C is a 4-inch handset that will come out to succeed the iPhone 5C that released in 2014. However, the exact reason behind the delayed launch of iPhone 6C in Q2 2016 is not yet known. Citing anonymous sources, Digitimes claims that the iPhone 6C will be powered by FinFET chipset.
The publication has revealed that the Cupertino tech company is working with companies like Samsung and TSMC to build chipsets with 14nm and 16nm process technology. Previous rumors suggested that the device will be featuring a 20nmm chipset. However, the usage of a FinFET processor will allow the manufacturers to build the lower-power-consuming iPhone 6C handset along with impressive specs.
The upcoming iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus will be powered by the Apple A9 chipset built with 14nm or 16nm FinFET technology. The mass production of the new chipsets has already begun.
According to MacRumors, the iPhone 6C will be sporting the size of the older iPhone 5C, but it will be featuring the 2014 insides of the iPhone 6. It is also expected to feature a full metal chassis similar to the iPhone 6.
Even though the large-size iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus received rave ratings from the audience and critics, users are still looking forward to a smaller iPhone handset. The older smartphones from Apple such as the iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S are still popular because their smaller size allows users to operate them with one hand.
As of this writing, there is no confirmation from Apple on releasing the 4-inch iPhone 6. The company is heavily pegged to unleash the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus in the next month.
